In defining its sustainability roadmap, Samac was inspired by the United Nations 2030 Agenda which defines 17 Sustainable Development Goals that represent a compass to direct the world towards a model of sustainable development.
Samac also contributes to the achievement of this in the way it does business.
Planting nectariferous forests
This year we gave ourselves a gift: a nectar forest! In collaboration with 3bee, we have adopted dogwoods, euodias, junipers, hazelnuts, white willows and tamarisks. Thanks to this operation, we have helped the environment to produce 48 kg of additional nectar, essential for the nutrition and well-being of bees, and stored 1.9 thousand kg of CO2 preventing it from ending up in the atmosphere.
SAMAC FOR EDUCATION
Strengthen relationships with the educational institutions of the area to contribute to a conscious and STEM-oriented choice on the part of the new generations, with a particular focus on female training. Ambitious goals with high stakes: to improve the gender equity that characterizes the automation sector.
SIAMO “EMERGENCY FRIEND”
Samac is an “Emergency Friend” company for the support shown for the association towards the work of doctors and nurses who work tirelessly every day in humanitarian programs. Participating in this program year after year means believing that the right to care is a fundamental human right.
Close to the territory
We are strongly bound to our territory and there are many projects aimed at supporting local associations: we have supported the purchase of a vehicle for the Auser organisation that provides assistance to the elderly; we support cultural initiatives promoted within schools and under heading of #SpazioAllAutomazione (Space for Automation) we talk about the applications of automation in space, thanks to the son of a Samac collaborator stationed at the European Space Agency.
A library for everyone

Books open up worlds, lives and thoughts. It’s for this reason, in a country that reads little, that Samac provides its staff with a library that is constantly expanding. Creating culture in the workplace for us means bringing together different worlds: it’s from connections that wonderful things can happen.
NO TOBACCO DAY
Samac supports the annual appointment with health on “World No Tobacco Day”, established by the WHO and observed on 31st May each year. Raising awareness among our employees means making them mindful that every cigarette smoked or tobacco product used wastes precious resources on which our existence depends. Quitting smoking is a decision for our health and the health of our planet.

To raise awareness among employees about healthier eating, we have partnered with a company that once a week provides a box of seasonal fruits and vegetables that employees can take home (a paid service which you can join on an optional basis).
